Harlock Hill – Construction
The Harlock Hill project was developed by The Wind Co UK Ltd. Construction started in September 1996 with the turbines being fully operational by the end of January 1997 and in April of that year an inauguration was held on site with over 400 Baywind shareholders present.
The local land owner is paid a land rental based on the electricity production of the turbines.
Baywind launched a share offer in 1997 to purchase two out of the five turbines. In 2001, with the help of a loan from the Co-operative Bank, Baywind purchased the remaining three turbines.
